Safe Routes to Schools
Walk and Roll is a cooperative partnership led by Traffic Solutions with the Community Environmental Council, Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition and the Air Pollution Control District designed to increase biking, walking, carpooling and transit use to and from South Coast High School in order to decrease traffic, improve air quality, reduce petroleum use, improve safety around schools, and improve the health of high school students in the Santa Barbara South Coast.
The partnership’s primary goal is to work with select High Schools in developing long term, self sustaining programs that result in an increase in biking, walking, carpooling and transit use, in coordination with the COAST’s Safe Routes to School Coalition.
